Celebrate the new year with a Torontoverse countdown
If you can’t make the City of Toronto’s fireworks display, how about checking out a virtual one right here?
Well, we made it. *ahem* I mean … We made it! Another year has come and gone.
This Saturday marks the departure of 2022 and arrival of 2023. To mark the occasion, the City of Toronto will be putting on a fireworks display along the waterfront. Because of the promised high altitude, they should be viewable from a good distance.
According to the City’s website, “the fireworks represent hope for the coming year and form part of the Stronger TOgether program, which honours the resiliency of Torontonians during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Celebrate with Torontoverse
Can’t make it to the waterfront? Or, you know, just not a fan of real fireworks? Then you’ve come to the right place.
At 12:00 p.m. EST on New Year’s Eve — Sat., Dec. 31 — this page will turn into a countdown to midnight, complete with virtual fireworks.
Happy new year, Toronto, from all of us at Torontoverse. Hope to see you a lot in 2023.
